That is tough, because different people find different things scary, but here is my pick: 'The Hitcher' - the original starring Rutger Hauer, not the weak remake with Sean bean. Basically from the moment Halsey, the 'hero', picks up the Hitcher. All that creepiness in the car that ranges from idle chat, to uneasy humour, to foreboding and finally terror. The Hitcher, played by Hauer, is terrifyingly creepy in this sequence. Near the end of the sequence, the Hitcher picks up one of the hero's tears with the tip of his knife - a scene improvised by the actor, Rutger Hauer. Apart from the fact it is a scene made terrifying through mood and suspense and not any blood and guts at all, it would be unfair to write the scene down and ruin its impact - try and get around to seeing it. Its worth it.

The Thing. Definiley. Especially when them damn dogs heads started splitting like bananas and then when dude head fell off his body then sprouted legs and walked across the floor. Ha ha and jeepers creepers, both of them but especially the first one when u haven't seen it before and u don't know what the monster looks like, and then he starts sniffing the decapitated head in the middle of the road and then eats its tongue! Ahhhhh
