How do I remove dog urine odor from rooms?

etherweaver - 2009-01-13 17:25:37 - Cleaning Laundry

I had people staying at my home with a dog, the dog was not house broken and was kept on my 2nd floor. The urine smell is so strong and keeps coming back even in my bathroom where the floor is all ceramic. I poured about a gallon of bleach on it but a couple days later it came back. I'm going to remove the rug from the other room but I'm sure it's soaked into the wood work. Any suggestions?

Best Answer:

Try an enzyme cleaner like Nature's Miracle. It worked for me. I bought it at a pet store, but I've seen it at the grocery store in the pet section. Be sure to follow the directions. Have patience. Good luck.

You can try white white vinegar mixed with water in a sprayer-- that might work for the floor. Also, a good store-bought product is Stain Chomp Pet Odor and Stain carpet cleaner, you could try that for the carpet. Look at it here: http://www.thehardwarecity.com/?sku=3475068 Good luck, dog urine smell is the worst I know!

use white vinegar on the spots where the dog went it will neutralize the smell as well than disinfect and open the windows to let fresh air come in , if it's cold outside even 10 minutes will renew the air indoor.
