How long do you use a wallet or purse before it needs replacing?

Mine are wearing out, both purse and wallet, but they're only a few years old. These are my daily use items, not fancy schmancy stuff which lasts forever 'cos it's used less frequently. The more answers the better, as I would also appreciate suggestions on good brands for a new daily use purse or wallet. Thanks!

I've had many wallets. mostly leather ones that usually wore out in a couple years . They started fraying and well, just looking worn. My husband got me a coach wallet 7 years ago and it looks just as good as it did then. Get a coach wallet for sure and purse if you could afford it. pricey but worth it! Look for sales at coach outlets or on-line.

idk any brands but... depending on how you use them will determine the wear and tare of them so be careful with ur purses and wallets for a while

I had my Guess purse and my Guess wallet for about 3 years now and its slowly wearing out. I say if it looks noticibly bad that its wearing out then you do need a new purse and wallet. and this doesnt take like 1 day to buy.. u gotta go to different stores and see as many purses and wallets and pick out the best because this wil be with u a while and it has to match most of ur cloths. Also its about quality..NOT quantity. so invest a couple hundred dollars in a good purse and youll cherrish it for a while. Maybe a simple coach purse.. iknow its over rated and popular but i gotta say they make amazing purses. their not 2 grand and 300 will get u a nice purse for many yaers ahead of you. As a guy... I obtain a sentimental feeling with all that I own, I wont throw anything out untill it falls apart. Since you are a girl, replace it every month, or as soon as another trend comes out, also pay close attention to your friends stuff, always try to one-up them, every chance you get. "The girl with the most purses and shoes wins"- remember that.

I usually don't replace them. I get bored with my purses very easily. I usually switch purses every month. I don't buy new ones though. They are all ones I already had. The only ones I've had to retire are ones that wore out too much and got holes in the bottom where my stuff would get stuck between the fabric and canvas. As for my wallets. It's pretty much the same. As soon as I get bored of them.

hmmm..personally last time i changed my wallet would have been 2 years ago, i just asked my uncles and brother and sister and they all said roughly around a year. It really depends how you treat it, how much you use it, theres a lot of factors. But for me its about 2 years. Hope it helps

it depends on the brand. my steve madden bag is going on three years now and i can still wear it... some cheap bags that i used to buy when in high school would become crappy after like 6 months, but a good bag, that you at least try to take care of, should last you years. i just remembered i have a kenneth cole bag that i have had for more than 5 years now. its a basic black that nice and big, goes with everything! same with the wallet. i've had my liz claiborne wallet now for almost 2 years... i usually change my wallets because i get sick of them, not because they are ruined at all. and i'm always buyin bags cause i love them :)

depends how much you spend lol! I usually change mine every year / year and a half. How much are you willing to spend? How old are you? Look at guess wallets... they have a good range...and they last long If your willing to spend some more try out louis vuitton, gucci and dior - they have amazing very high quality wallets... I have the red VERNIS wallet from louis vuitton... I got it for valentines day last year and its good as new - I LOVE IT! Goodluck!

wallet, when i have to keep it together with duct tape. backpack, bag, i still have my old canvass messenger i got about 7 years ago. i used it as my main bag in university and its still holding up. there was some stitching required, but i had a guy ask me where i bought it -- if you got some genuine artistic knack, you can make them last forever.
