How do I improve my 50 and 100 freestyle time?

I am a competitive high school varsity swimmer with a 24.00 for a 50 and 54.5 for a 100. I am looking to shed extra time for my divisional meet coming up in three weeks. What should I do?

Due some set of the crawl stroke (free style) w/ a buddy holding on to your legs. Don't kick your legs and your buddy;s job is basically just to add dead weight. This will isolate your upper body. Then due some sets utilyzing a kicking board and kick like crazy (working exclusively your legs) This should help by overworking both areas (at different times) making them stronger.

this may sound strange but do extra butterfly drills it strengthens upper body

tread water and lift weights. especially do this for your legs. Your legs are your propellors. the stronger they are, the faster you will be.
