So same as the question: whats the difference between loving someone (saying i love you to bf for ex.) and be IN love with someone? is there a difference?

Major difference. Ssyin u love your ex is just saying dat u cherish da moments that talk had together nd that u hope y'all can always be friends. Bein in love means u wana be with dat person. That u wna be more dan a friend. U can always love some One by being in love changes the script
